What's walkable: Tejon Street downtown, Acacia Park, West Colorado Avenue in Old Colorado City (roughly 24th to 27th Streets), and Bancroft Park.

Transit
Mountain Metro Transit runs local buses. CDOT's Bustang intercity bus connects downtown Colorado Springs with Denver; check ridebustang.com for current schedules.
What it's like
Downtown has a compact grid of shops and restaurants with Pikes Peak in view. Old Colorado City, to the west, is the original town site, a historic district with brick storefronts along Colorado Avenue. The older neighborhoods between them have bungalows and Victorians.
